Children’s Day: CSAAE gives scholarships to three children in Nigeria 

The Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE), a Non non-governmental organisation, has given out scholarships to three children to celebrate Children’s Day in Imo. 

CSAAE’s C-Edu Programme Officer, Miss Blessing Bodunde, said this while addressing newsmen shortly after a children’s carnival/ competition organised by the centre, in Owerri, on Tuesday. 

The event was tagged: “Every Child Deserves A Right To Learn “. 

Bodunde, who congratulated the competition’s winners, said that the event was part of the centre’s efforts to promote primary education in line with its mission. 

She commended the parents of all 13 children aged between seven and 12 who participated in the competition while announcing cash prizes as partial scholarships for winners. 

 “ The children scored points on charisma, eloquence, creativity and content after watching a three-minute video. 

 “ Seven year-old Bernice Ayoola clinched the first position and won a cash prize of N60,000 while nine year-old Beatrix Ogulewe claimed the second position and won N40,000. 

 “ The third position was attained by 12 year-old Michael Chijieze who won a partial scholarship in the sum of N20,000 “ she said. 

She however called on Government to support the initiative so as to get to more children, adding that the centre was open to effective collaborations.
